Surmounted by a turned handle and engraved details to the upper section over a large glazed observation window framed by floral engraving, over glazed panels to a moulded base decorated with foliate engraving. The 2 inch white enamel Roman dial with Breguet-style blued steel hands, signed to the lower section Hy. Marc, Paris. The movement with a Jules lever platform escapement with helical hairspring, striking the hours on a small polished bell mounted to the backplate, the twin barrels set off-centre in the movement, the backplate repeat stamped by the maker. Currently ticking and striking. 15cms (6ins) high.
