Signed first edition, signed by twenty-five contributors. Ralph Sylvester and Stathis Orphanos, booksellers and publishers produce elegant tributes to LGBTQ creatives. The current volume celebrates the life and work of gay artist Yannis Tsarouchis (1910-1989) and includes essays by Paul Cadmus, David Hockney, Horst, and Sir Stephen Spender. A pivotal figure in modern Greek art, Tsarouchis assimilated elements from Byzantine and folk art. Like many of his generation, he shunned the conservatism of the past and strove to create a style that would express a "Greek" aesthetic.
