AN INSIDE-PAINTED ROCK CRYSTAL 'LADIES' SNUFF BOTTLE, SIGNED YE ZHONGSAN

Of rectangular section, one broad side painted with an indoor scene of a woman preparing to play the qin as another strikes a cymbal and a male attendant holds an oil lamp, the upper left corner with an inscription followed by the signature Ye Zhongsan and a seal, the opposite side with a lady conversing with two female attendants in a garden as a man descends from a tree, a short inscription in the upper corner, the narrow sides carved in relief with mock mask-and-ring handles.
