Of musozutsu form, vertically incised with striations and decorated with a central frieze of a kingfisher perched on a lotus stem above swirling waters in gold, red, and black takamaki-e and black and gold togidashi maki-e on a black ground with kinpun highlights, signed Koshin, with a gilt-metal rim and cord attachment
