TWO LACQUER KŌGŌ (INCENSE CONTAINERS)
Each circular, the first black lacquer with a flat inrōbuta (flush-fitting) lid decorated with floral roundels and a single butterfly in gold togidashi maki-e, with highlights of hirame and gold foil, fitted with a removable tray decorated with a cottage by a stream and distant mountains, the interiors nashiji;
The second with a domed inrōbuta decorated in iro-e hiramaki-e on a roiro-nuri ground sprinkled with hirame with a crane in flight among swirling clouds, the rim with a band of floral lozenges, the interior decorated with ferns and foliate scroll

OVERALL CONDITION:
1st: There is on miniscule surface lacquer bruise on the top surface of the lid, right in the center (1mm approx.)
Overall, with some light wear.
2nd: There is a little roughness around the interior edge of the rim on the lid-- from opening and closing the container. There is some light wear to the underside, from contact with a resting surface.
