An 1821 Pattern Officer's Sword
By C. Boyton & Son, Clerkenwell, No. 1267, 20th Century

With plated fullered blade etched along one side with 'GRV' cypher between foliage and on the other with indistinct regimental badge and motto between further foliage en suite, regulation plated three-bar hilt, and wire-bound fishskin-covered grip: in original leather-covered scabbard (some losses to plating, leather with areas of bruising)
