A Naval Officer's Dirk, And Two Truncheons
19th Century

With first with fullered blade stamped with an 'A' within a diamond at the forte, flat quillons with acorn-shaped terminals, lion-head pommel and back-strap in one, and wire-bound black lacquered grip, in its original scabbard with engraved brass locket and chape, the former stamped en suite with the blade; the second painted in polychrome (worn) against a black ground with 'VR', a crown beneath, and 'SC' for special constable, the last painted in polychrome with a monogram above a crowned border, and with ribbed grip (3)
