A Composite 24-Bore (.577) Percussion Late Pattern Service Pistol
The Lock Dated 1858

With plain barrel and tang, the former rifled and marked underneath variously 'DEAKIN', '645', 'W', and 'ЯR' (Ordnance storekeeper's mark) over '56', flat lock with VR crowned at the tail, and '1858' above 'TOWER' beneath the breech, earlier wooden full stock (old repaired split above the butt), earlier iron trigger-guard, turned brass ramrod-pipe, and captive ramrod, Ordnance view and proof marks
