A 18-Bore Flintlock Single-Trigger D.B. Carriage Pistol
By King, Possibly John 3, London, Circa 1780

With plain barrels, foliate engraved tang decorated with a starburst in the sighting groove, gold-lined touch-holes, flat locks each decorated with a starburst behind the pan and with foliage on the stepped tail, cocks en suite, figured half-stock, trigger-guard with pineapple finial and decorated with a martial trophy on the border engraved bow, silver escutcheon engraved with owner's crest, and brass-tipped wooden ramrod, London proof marks and barrelsmith's mark 'IT'
