An 18-Bore Flintlock Holster Pistol
By Parkes Of Birmingham, Circa 1780

With three-stage barrel engraved 'London' at the breech, foliate engraved tang, border engraved rounded lock decorated with a crescent moon and stars on the tail, cock en suite, figured full stock (fore-end repaired) with rounded butt and inlaid with silver wire around the barrel tang, brass mounts comprising trophy of arms side-plate, vacant escutcheon, spurred pommel decorated en suite with the lock, trigger-guard engraved with stars on the bow (loose), turned ramrod-pipes, and horn-tipped wooden ramrod, Birmingham private proof marks
