With two-stage barrels and actions in one piece, the former each with octagonal breech, flared towards the turned muzzle and fitted with a spring bayonet underneath, actions each signed within an oval against a martial trophy on one side, and with the maker's address en suite on the other, thumbpiece safety-catch also locking the steels, flat-sided butts, vacant silver escutcheons, and original brass-tipped ramrods, Tower private proof marks (2)
