With octagonal sighted russet barrel, foliate engraved tang, border engraved flat bevelled lock (cock replaced) signed in capitals and decorated with foliage at the stepped tail, safety-catch and roller, figured full stock (slender old repair along the fore-end on one side, minor old bruising) with chequered rounded butt, steel trigger-guard with pineapple finial and decorated with foliage on the border engraved bow, vacant silver escutcheon, and later horn-tipped ramrod (steels parts with some pitting), Birmingham proof marks
