A Pair of Scottish 40-Bore Flintlock Box-Lock Pocket Pistols
Signed Cook, Perth, Circa 1815-20

With turn-off barrels retaining some of their original blueing, actions (one top jaw and screw replaced) signed within an oval amidst foliage on one side, a later belt-hook added over the top, and engraved 'PERTH' amidst foliage on the other, figured flat-sided butts each inlaid on one side with silver rocailles, a scrolled silver panel engraved with owner's name 'David Keay', and silver shield-shaped escutcheon with owner's initials 'DK' (one tang retaining screw missing), Birmingham proof marks (2)
