Michael Noakes (1933–2018) was a renowned British portrait painter celebrated for his vivid and lifelike depictions of prominent figures. Over his distinguished career, he painted members of the British royal family, politicians, and cultural icons, including Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, and Margaret Thatcher. A member of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters, Noakes combined technical precision with a keen psychological insight, capturing both the likeness and character of his subjects.
