Footnotes

Marianne had a close friendship with the artist and she acquired a number of his works. Another called 'Eternity' inspired her song of the same name.

Martin Sharp was a leading artist and illustrator whose vibrant and kaleidoscopic style became synonymous with the visual identity of the 1960s and '70s. His work is most notably associated with album covers and poster art, including celebrated designs for Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix.

Marianne Faithfull acquired this work while on tour in Australia in 2000.
