Marianne Faithfull: Two Paintings of Marianne Faithfull,

circa 1960s,
two paintings of Marianne Faithfull, both by untraced artists, the first: oil painting, oval, within a wooden oval frame, the second: black and coloured pencil, heightened with white, on brown paper, framed and glazed,
the first 25in x 21in (63.5cm x 53.3cm); the second 16 2/5in x 13 3/5in (41.5cm x 34.5cm) (2)

Footnotes

The oval oil painting was done pre-fame in either 1961 or 1962 and a photograph from 1962 by Chris O'Dell of Marianne at home in Reading shows her with a similar hairstyle. The painting hung in the hallway of Marianne's Paris apartment on the Rue d'Anjou. It appears in her monograph 'A Life On Record' and in the editorial of an article for Purple magazine in 2014.

Both works can be seen in the Nowness video of Marianne's Paris apartment tour at 0:39 and 2:50.
