N.B.
La Legende de Joseph is a ballet in one act for the Ballets Russes that includes music by Hugo von Hofmannsthal, Harry von Kessler, and Richard Strauss. It premiered at the Paris Opera in 1914 with costume design by both Léon Bakst and Alexandre Benois. The work comes from the collection of Theodore Kosloff, Russian-born ballet dancer, choreographer and film and stage actor. Kosloff began his carrer touring internationally with the Diaghilev Ballet Company. After emigrating to America in 1909, Kosloff began his acting career and choreographed several Broadway musicals such as The Passing Show of 1915, A World of Pleasure and See America First. After retiring from acting Kosloff opened his own ballet school in Los Angeles.
