Single Malt
The 5th of November, 1964 is one of the most significant dates in the history of the Bowmore Distillery. The Fino Casks that were to be laid down with the spirit of that day rested for 37 years until its release to the public in 2002. With just 300 bottlings, this is one of the most limited releases ever. The brass header on the inside of the wooden case indicates this is bottle number 220.
Bowmore is the oldest distillery on the extraordinary whisky making island of Islay. They proudly extract peat with the highest possible standards of care and consideration for peatland ecosystems, using it to gently smoke the barley. Their mastery of cask selection and maturation further augments its complex, multi-layered whiskies.
