Note
Isaac S. Yeakle (1841-1906) opened Yeakle's Western Hotel at Marshall and Chain Streets, Norristown, Pennsylvania, in July 1878. He advertised the new business as having "large airy rooms, a good table, reasonable charges, and a pleasant walk down Marshall Street to the Court House. Excellent stabling and every accommodation for Farmers attending market," The Reporter (8 August 1878), p. 3. Yeakle sold the business, later called the West End Hotel, to Oliver K. Bean in 1905.
