Silk 36-star Parade Flag and Serviceman's Banner

United States, c. 1865-7
Fine cream-colored woven silk panel printed with canton of thirty-six stars, machine-stitched hem across top and bottom with selvedge edges at sides; together with a small World War I serviceman's banner with machine-stitched mitered red border surrounding a cream-colored panel embroidered with twelve names of in blue thread, including Albert Danforth of Texas, Frederick E. Dobbins, Colt Pentz, and Forest L. Morgan, flag 16 x 25 in.
