Waterston, Pitts St. Chapel / Boston 22d Decemb. 1841." on an inscribed paper label, mounted in double-glazed frame with mat exposing the inscriptions "37 Temple" and "R.C. Waterston / Pitts St Chapel / Boston / Dec'r 22, 1841" on reverse, retaining a partial label of art dealer Arthur S. Vernay, New York, framed 12 1/8 x 9 in.
