Note
William G. Sargent (1848-1923) was born in, and appears to have been a lifelong resident of, Castine. He was the son of customs collector William H. Sargent and served as a town selectman. In 1903, Sargent wrote the photo-illustrated Souvenir of Castine, Maine, published by the Albertype Company of Brooklyn, New York.
