Seven Porcelain Table Items with Arms of New York State

Jingdezhen, China, late 18th and early 19th century
Each with star-studded cobalt enamel and gilt band borders, bearing three variations on the heraldic achievement of New York State in polychrome enamels, including the supporters of Liberty and Justice, below an eagle crest, all above a plain pink banner; the assembled group comprised of:

one pitcher with flower emblem in a scrolled shield, wd. 6 1/2, dp. 3 1/2, ht. 4 3/4 in.

one bowl, one saucer, and one teabowl bearing a shield inscribed with the initials "MAJC" in gold, (saucer) diam. 5 1/2, ht. 1 1/4 in.

one tea caddy, one teacup, and one saucer bearing a shield with gold flower on cobalt ground, (teacup) wd. 3 1/2, dp. 2 1/2, ht. 2 3/4 in.

The tea caddy and matching saucer retain mid-century labels of Ginsburg & Levy, 815 Madison Avenue, New York, New York.
