A BOWIE KNIFE DECORATED WITH MEXICAN MOTIFS,
third quarter of the 19th century.

The handle with brass/German silver mounts decorated with the spread wing eagle and snake emblem of Mexico and hard wood scales; single-edge blade with long false edge; along with two sterling silver circular horse tack bosses and a sterling silver belt buckle.
Blade lg. 8 3/4, overall lg. 13 1/4 in.
