TWO SILVER ADORNED SPANISH/PORTUGUESE CUP HILT SWORDS,
18th century.

A rapier with forged iron cross guard and knuckle bow with silver quillon caps, deep cup guard with silver edging and rivets, silver pommel and wire covered grip; straight double-edge blade.
Overall lg. 40 1/4 in.

A broadsword with forged iron cross guard and knuckle bow with brass quillon caps, deep cup guard with silver edging and rivets, silver pommel, wood and silver grip; straight double edge blade with etched inscription "VIVA VILA REAL DE PORTUGAL" and "VIVVES ALVNA."
Overall lg. 41 3/8 in.
