One with a walnut handle secured to the blade tang by three brass rivets, brass counter-guard; one side of the blade marked "1904" and the other side marked "U.S./1662"; brown leather scabbard with brass throat, the back of the scabbard marked "ROCK ISLAND/ARSENAL/1912/H.E.K."

One with a walnut handle secured to the blade tang by three brass rivets, brass counter-guard; one side of the blade marked "SA" over a flaming bomb emblem over "1908" and the other side marked "U.S./6131"; brown leather scabbard with brass throat, the back of the scabbard marked "ROCK ISLAND/ARSENAL/1911/H.E.K."
