TWO 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN SAWBACK BAYONETS.

A Belgian Model 1868 Tersen bayonet, the brass handle with ribbed grip and steel cross bar; straight single-edge blade single wide fuller, the ricasso with various inspector marks and "1879," blade lg. 19, overall lg. 23 3/4 in.

A German Model 1871 Faschinenmesser Pioneer Sawback bayonet, the brass handle with diagonal ribs on the grip, steel cross bar; straight single-edge blade with single wide fuller, with various inspector and acceptance mark, dated "99"; black leather scabbard with brass mounts, the throat marked "22.P.4.184.," blade lg. 19, overall lg. 23 7/8 in.
