A CONFEDERATE GEORGIA STATE ARSENAL ARMORY SWORD BAYONET AND SCABBARD,
Milledgeville, Georgia, 1862.

Brass handle with ribbed grip, spring catch, the grip marked "191" above the cross guard; single-edge blade with false edge at the tip and single wide fuller, the ricasso marked "GA ARMORY/1862"; brown leather scabbard with brass throat and tip.
Blade lg. 21 1/2, overall lg. 26 3/8 in.

Condition: Brass toned to deep yellow; blade is mostly bright with areas of light gray mottling; scabbard surface has losses, but is sound, mounts are toned to deep yellow and have scattered shallow dents.
