A CONFEDERATE BOYLE, GAMBLE & MACFEE SWORD BAYONET,
Richmond, Virginia, c. 1861.

The brass handle with ribbed grip and spring latch, the cross guard with cast inscription "BOYLE, GAMBLE & MACFEE/RICHMOND/VA"; single-edge yataghan blade with false edge at the tip and single wide fuller.
Blade lg. 20, overall lg. 24 7/8 in.

Condition: Handle toned to deep yellow/brown, quillon has an old repair; blade toned to mottled gray.
