The brass handle with ribbed grip and spring clip securing a brass muzzle adapter, the cross guard with cast inscription "BOYLE, GAMBLE & MACFEE/RICHMOND/VA" and the grip marked "70"; Bowie-type blade with clipped point, marked "BOYLE & GAMBLE/RICHMOND, VA." near the base of the blade.
Blade lg. 14 7/8, overall lg. 19 3/4 in.
Condition: Brass toned deep yellow and handle has some spots of verdigris; blade toned to mottle gray, tip is chipped and there is a trace of old resharpening toward the handle.
