A WISCONSIN PERCUSSION SPORTING RIFLE,
Thomas S. Weeks, Fond du Lac, c. third quarter of the 19th century.

31 in., .38 caliber heavy octagon barrel marked on the top "T.S. WEEKS/FOND DU LAC/WIS. 166"; flat lock plate with "II" and arrow motif, double set trigger; walnut stock with German silver patch box and pewter nose cap; brass butt plate and trigger guard, later wood rammer.
Overall lg. 45 1/2 in.

Condition: Iron toned to deep brown, stock with old repair through the wrist, brass toned to deep yellow, action functions properly, nipple is a modern replacement.
