A FLINTLOCK AMERICAN LONG RIFLE,
second quarter of the 19th century.

40 3/8 in., .54 caliber octagon barrel with brass blade front sight and notch rear sight; flat lock plate with rounded tail marked below the pan "GDB/KEIM & SON," double set trigger; figured maple stock with brass furniture and German silver crescent moon inlay on the cheekpiece, wood rammer.
Overall lg. 55 3/8 in.
Condition: The rifle is coated in a thin layer of varnish, stock has losses along the forward part of the rammer channel and nose and toe, trigger guard is an old replacement, action needs attention.
