AN EARLY 19TH CENTURY AMERICAN MILITIA CAVALRY SABER.
Brass hilt with narrow counter-guard and tapering knuckle bow connecting to a pommel cap with back strap, hard wood grip with brass wire wrapping; curved single-edge blade with false edge at the top and single narrow fuller.
Blade lg. 29 1/4, overall lg. 34 1/4 in.
Condition: Brass toned to yellow; blade toned to mottled gray, tip is blunt.
