A SPANISH HUNTING PLUG BAYONET,
mid-19th century.

Turned wood handle with brass cap and cross guard; straight single-edge blade with etched foliate decoration, ricasso marked on one side "Artilla/Jea de To" and the other side "Ano de/1847"; black leather scabbard with brass throat and tip.
Blade lg. 10 1/8, overall lg. 15 1/4 in.

Condition: Handle has minor wear; blade is mostly bright with light gray toning at the tip; scabbard stitched seam is separated but scabbard is sound.
