AN ENGLISH-STYLE FLINTLOCK MILITIA MUSKET,
early 19th century.

46 in., .80 caliber round barrel with ring decoration at the breech and partial Tower ordnance proof marks; Dublin Castle lock; walnut stock raised plateau around the breech plug tang; brass furniture including a butt plate with a narrow pointe tang, trigger guard with pineapple finial, three sheet brass rammer pipes, a nose cap and a steel rammer with button head and threaded end.
Overall lg. 62 1/8 in.

Condition: The musket is coated in a thin layer of varnish, Barrel cleaned bright, lock has minor pitting; stock has a repaired break at the entry pipe; action functions properly.
