AN AFGHAN JEZAIL FLINTLOCK MUSKET,
early 19th century.

52 3/8 in., .68 caliber round barrel with flaring muzzle, British trade lock with pointed tail dated "1815" and with lion below the pan; hard wood stock with brass furniture and nine brass bands securing the barrel, steel rammer with sculpted head, forged vent pick secured to the trigger guard by iron loop chain.
Overall lg. 66 3/4 in.

Condition: Good overall condition, barrel toned to mottled gray with areas of light surface oxidation; lock toned to mottled gray, stock has old surface and scattered dings and dents, brass toned to yellow, action functions properly.
