There is a similar example in the Toledo Museum of Art, dated to the second half of the 2nd Century, which was identified by Marianne Stern as representing a cedar cone of which three different variants are recorded (E.M. Stern, Roman Mold-Blown Glass, The First Through Sixth Centuries, The Toledo Museum of Art, Toledo, 1995, p. 182, no. 112).
