Footnotes

Ludwig Mylius-Erichsenn was a Danish author and arctic explorer. He is widely known for his contribution to the 'Denmark Expedition' which took place between 1906 and 1908. During this time, Erichsenn undertook and completed the task of exploring and charting the entire coastline of northeast Greenland.

The expedition consisted of three months field work and saw more than 4000 miles of journeys completed by sledge, surpassing the record of any single arctic force.
