Lavishly presented record, with numerous photographic illustrations and chromolithograph plates after amateur sketches, describing the extensive big game hunting trips through Africa, to Somaliland, the Sahara, Abyssinia, Algeria and elsewhere undertaken by Pease and his wife in the 1890s. Pease later took the future American President Theodore Roosevelt on his first lion hunt, whilst staying as his guest in Africa.
