Footnotes

Duntroon Castle, 217 tons gross, was built at Govan in 1842 for the Glasgow Castle Steam Packet Co. and it seems likely that this work was commissioned to mark her first season taking day excursion passengers down the Clyde from Glasgow. Renamed Red Jacket for new owners in 1863, she was wrecked later the same year in the Caribbean.
