cast brass with lettering inlaid with red enamel, original clapper and ropework handle, 25.5 x 23cm (10 x 9in)

Footnotes

HMS Norman was an Admiral M-class destroyer that served in the Royal Navy during the First World War. She was laid down by Palmers at Hebburn and launched on 20th March 1916 and completed during the same year. The vessel was deployed as part of the Grand Fleet joining the Fourteenth Destroyer based at Scarpa Flow.
