"As an artist, I create bold, hand-cut collages that explore themes of identity and transformation. This cause is deeply personal to me, as I have trans friends and have witnessed firsthand the trials and challenges they face. Artist Statement: David Krovblit is a contemporary collage artist known for his bold, large-format works that blend vintage imagery with modern storytelling. Using a unique process that combines digital and analog techniques, Krovblit repurposes existing elements to craft fresh, compelling narratives. His intricate collages, often infused with themes of consumerism, nature, and transformation, are meticulously assembled by hand on custom-built panels and finished with resin for depth and texture. With a background in commercial photography, Krovblit bridges the traditional and the unconventional, creating art that is as thought-provoking as it is visually striking. Based in Southern California, his work has been exhibited globally, captivating collectors with its vibrant energy and layered complexity.
