Artist Statement: Rick Mordesovich is one of the busiest people around. By day he is a financial advisor helping families plan for their futures. Evenings and weekends he is photographing around town and around the world. He has visited 55 countries. Rick and his husband travel extensively and as often as they can. They were married in Lake Como in 2018. They returned to Como in 2021 after the COVID-19 restriction was lifted. These photographs were taken then.

Rick integrates fashion, grit, nature, travel documentary, celebrity, humor, and edge. His ability to marry thought-provoking and provocative imagery with sometimes unusual situations asks the viewer to reexamine their own boundaries and take foothold into the unknown. His work sometimes portrays the simple purity of nature, while other times it is infused with colors, texture, and vice.

Rick earned his MBA at The University of Chicago and studied photography at The Academy of Art, San Francisco.

Rick has spent his life volunteering and being of service in the LGBTQ+ and HIV/AIDS community. He is proud to support The Laurel Foundation's mission of supporting children and sending them to camp.

Rick and his husband reside in Sonoma, California and East Hampton, New York.
