Artist Statement: Patrick N Brown was born in East Saint Louis, Illinois in 1953. His education focused on painting, printmaking and ceramic arts at the University of Memphis, Hendrix College and Jefferson College. His work can be found in numerous galleries in Southern California and his 2018-2019 accomplishments include being selected to the 27th Annual Athenaeum Music and Arts Juried Exhibition in La Jolla, CA and the 2019 William D Cannon Juried Biennial in Carlsbad, CA. In October 2018 he was selected to be part of the group show Positivity at Art Share LA in Los Angeles, CA. In 2019, he was featured in the opening of Fresh Paint Gallery in La Jolla, CA as well as The Studio Door in Hillcrest San Diego, CA. Patrick is a member of The Escondido Arts Partnership Municipal Gallery in Escondido; The Oceanside Museum of Art in Oceanside CA; The Artist Alliance at OMA; VisualAIDS in NYC; and the Frank Moore Archives in NYC. Patrick contributes numerous paintings and time raising money and awareness for the healing powers of art both locally and nationally. He lives and works in Escondido, California.

Patrick's work was on view in the international exhibition My Intimate Partner at the Oceanside Museum of Art from October 2024-March 2025.
