Artist Statement: Aubrey Longley-Cook (he/him) is a Los Angeles based artist who creates hand-stitched embroideries and stop-motion animations. He combines traditional craft-making with new media to transform and reanimate images through stitched abstraction and pixelation. Longley-Cook's work has been featured in various publications including the Los Angeles Times, New York Times, Journal of Modern Craft, OUT, them, WUSSY, and Art Papers. His work is in numerous international public and private collections including the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art.
