A SANCAI-GLAZED POTTERY FIGURE OF A BACTRIAN CAMEL

Tang Dynasty
Standing four-square on a rectangular base with head held high and braying into the sky, the body covered overall with a thick fur, the humps fitted through a short saddle blanket, the glaze dripped in brown, yellow, green, and creamy white.
21 1/2 x 15 1/4 x 5 1/2in (54.6 x 38.8 x 14cm)
