A NEOLITHIC PAINTED RED POTTERY TWO-HANDLED JAR

Majiayao culture, Banshan phase 3rd-2nd millennium B.C.
Decorated with a band of swirling geometric pattern, the compressed spherical body tapering down to a small flat foot, the short neck and everted rim flanked by a pair of lug handles.
