清咸豐 《大清咸豐年製》紅款 淺绛彩山水風景圖碗成對
Porcelain of this quality from the Xianfeng period is relatively rare during this short period. The Taiping rebellion caused the destruction of the Imperial kilns at Jingdezhen in 1855, and they were not rebuilt until 1866, making porcelain production during this time a scant four years. Painted in the qianjiang style of painting, lead by Cheng Men (1833-1908), with his interest in the landscape of the Yuan masters, these exquisite bowls would have appealed to the literati taste of the Jiangnan merchants and of court taste at the time.*
