A COPPER-RED-DECORATED 'NINE DRAGON' CHARGER

Tongzhi/Guangxu period, Chuxiugong four-character seal mark
Finely painted with a central medallion of a fierce fronted five-claw dragon poised to grasp a flaming pearl amidst flame-shaped clouds, surrounded by four further dragons engaged in their own pursuits at the well and on the exterior, the base with a four-character Chuxiugong zhi mark in underglaze blue beneath the foot ring.
