A TWO-COLOR JASPER 'MONKEY WITH PEACH' SNUFF BOTTLE

1750-1860
Of slightly bulbous ovoid shape and carved in high relief to one side using a honey-brown upper layer against a rust-red ground with a monkey seated on a rocky outcrop and holding a small peach in the right hand and looking back over the left shoulder, the reverse side plain.
